LET'S ROCK!
Welcome to Zeamu HQ, the home of the Zeamus

News, events, new releases and more! Over 16’s only!

Four young friends who share one big dream - making awesome music for you! Band members Mina, Zac, Aki and Eva are having a fantastic time at Zeamu HQ, where they are busy working on their new tracks.
These pint-sized pop stars are doing it their way: making music, writing lyrics and singing songs about the things that matter to them. No grown-ups, no rules, they're here to share their music with you.
All the songs are written from the heart. Mina, Zac, Aki and Eva want to tell it as it is with all the ups and downs (mostly ups!). They understand the frustrations of being told what to do, the feeling lonely and sad, but like you, they can't wait for the weekend and the pure freedom of the holidays when they can do
exactly what they want to do. They love to tell their stories through lots of different styles of great music and sometimes they just let their imagination run wild. Whether you want to chill out and think about things or get up and party, the Zeamus have the perfect track for you.

Mina

The youngest of the Zeamus, Mina loves to sing. In fact she LIVES to sing! Mina’s a bit of a tomboy and you won’t see her out of her jeans, but she loves her pink microphone. As well as learning about all kinds of music at Zeamu HQ, Mina’s bursting to throw down her dance moves which she’s learning from band-mate Eva.

Zac

The oldest of the Zeamus, Zac used to be really shy, but drumming fills Zac with confidence. It's amazing how uplifting music can be! Now he spends all of his spare time with his much loved drum-kit and his Zeamu band-mates. Plus he likes to look the part, from his beanie hat down to his funky blue shades!

Aki

Aki's first day jamming at Zeamu HQ was the best day he had ever had. He’s a rock guitarist with a lot to learn, but he quickly made friends with Mina, Zac and Eva and they all decided to form the band. Aki likes to make a bit of a statement from time to time and his hair colour says more than a bit about his lively personality!

Eva

Eva is 'little miss cool' and keeps everyone on their toes! She’s the all singing, all dancing, energetic whirlwind of the group. With an amazing voice, slick moves and endless ideas, her favourite thing is to invent lyrics for news songs and sing them to the others. Her confidence is infectious and she love to keeps things fun… and pink!

GROWN-UPS
The Zeamu Story

Zeamu Music is the brainchild of two mothers with a passion for music and five primary school aged children between them. They realised there was a gap in the market for age relevant but highly produced pop music for young children who had closed the door on nursery rhymes, but had only main stream pop to move onto. How could children hope to have a full music experience with lyrics they couldn't possibly have any frame of reference for? There are age appropriate films and books for children, so it seemed only right that we should plug the gap with professionally produced, age appropriate pop music. Time to give kids something that is right for them.

So Zeamu music has been created to provide a sound track to children's lives. The music is original and sung by children on a variety of themes that all kids can relate to: the magic of summer holidays, feeling isolated in the playground, being bullied and the excitement of getting to the weekend and having two days of no school to look forward to.

The music has been written and produced by musicians who have worked with some of the best-selling artists in the world. Zeamu music is therefore credible, relevant, great for the car and swear word free, preventing those heart stopping lunges for the off switch! But most importantly, Zeamu is fun and upbeat and something that children can really relate to and talk about. And obviously, sing to!

We hope you enjoy it too!

GROWN-UPS
The Zeamu Team

We have a fantastic team of musicians, producers, industry professionals and creative minds all working together on Zeamu. We all bring different skills to the team but are united by our main aim which is to create wonderful music for kids.

Summer Holidays

Aeroplanes

Mina and Aki

I’ll be the cop!
You be the bad guy
I’ll seek you out if you run and hide
We’ll both be cowboys
Ride through the dust
Jump in the car, we’ll go for a drive

He’s bigger than I am
I’m smarter than he is
But we both like aeroplanes

She’s blonde, I have brown hair
She likes dolls, I don’t care
But we both like aeroplanes

I’ll be your doctor!
You can be the patient
I’ll rescue you if you shout my name
We’ll have a race
See who’s the fastest
We’re different but we’re just the same

He’s bigger than I am
I’m smarter than he is
But we both like aeroplanes

She’s blonde, I have brown hair
She likes dolls, I don’t care
But we both like aeroplanes

Alone In The Dark

Mina

I love my bedtime stories
But there’s a feeling I could do without
That T-shirt there, lying on my chair
Is it a monster with a really scary face?

But I’m scared
And it’s just me
And the monsters
And things I can’t see

When it’s dark and I’m alone
And the shadows start to move
What’s that sound underneath my bed?
A giant spider spinning his web

But I’m really scared
And it’s just me
And the monsters
And things I can’t see

I love my bedroom and my bed
But only when its light
I love my bedroom and my bed
But only when its light

Mum and dad say they understand
But I don’t think they really do
Telling me it’s only half past three
And the creatures are only in my head

But I’m still scared
And it’s just me
And the monsters
All around me
But I’m still scared
And it’s just me
And the monsters
All around me

Last night that monster, he smiled at me
And said, hug me I’m scared of the night
Last night that monster, him and me
He said We ain’t scared of the night

Night night, monster
Sleep tight...

Beat The Bullies

Aki

I was on the bus to school today
Some older kids they stood in my way
We want your cash and we want your phone
And all that I could think was that I wanna go home

I was scared
I was all on fire
Feeling alone
And I wanted to cry
I spend a lot of time running away
Thinking bout home and the end of the day

And I don't want to get out of my bed today
It doesn’t feel safe and I just wanna suffer in silence
I cant say anything to mum and dad
I know that they love me but I just feel so bad

There are lots of things going thru my mind
Wondering why people just can’t be kind
I think of ways bullies can be beat
Dont wanna to always be feeling the heat

Are they really nasty kids?
Or are they just cowards whose emotions are hidden away?
It would be better to be my friend
Coz this is going bad I dont know how it will end

And I dont wanna get out of my bed today
It doesn’t feel safe and I just wanna suffer in silence
I cant say anything to mum and dad
I know that they love me but I just feel so bad

I think of ways the bullies can be beat
Dont wanna always be feeling the heat

I think of ways the bullies can be beat
Dont wanna to always be feeling the heat

Doing The Robot

Aki

It happens every time
When he drinks too much wine
He feels the need to prove
That he’s still got those dance moves

He’s gonna steel the show
I wish the lights were down low
But he leaps from his chair
And I see everyone stare cause...

Dad’s on the dance floor
I’m out the back door
He’s hugging his mates
All throwing the same shapes
Dad thinks he’s hot
Now he’s doing the Robot
Mum’s so happy she’s singing the Bee Gees now

I think Mum’s had enough
She starts strutting her stuff
And now she’s gone too far
Cause she’s dancing like Ga Ga

So Dad has cleared the floor
And now he’s shouting for more
He waves his hands in the air
And I see everyone stare cause...

Dad’s on the dance floor
I’m out the back door
He’s hugging his mates
All throwing the same shapes
Dad thinks he’s hot
Now he’s doing the Robot
Mum’s so happy she’s singing the Bee Gees now

Friend Of Mine

Eva

Just because we're different
And I'm not the same as you
Doesn't mean you can leave me out
of all the things you do.
Sometimes I feel lonely
Sometimes I'm misunderstood,
I need a friend I can talk to
That would be so good.
So good
So good
That would be so good
So good
So good
That would be so good

Why can't everybody get along?
Happy people just can't go wrong,
Everybody needs a friend sometime
Would you like to be a friend of mine?

Instrumental chorus

Now and then it seems to me
No matter what I do,
I always seem to get it wrong
Do you feel the same way too?
Always get in trouble,
Always seem to get the blame,
No one understands me
Do you ever feel the same?
The Same
The same
Do you ever feel the same?
The Same
The same
Do you ever feel the same?

Why can't everybody get along
Happy people just can't go wrong,
Everybody needs a friend sometime
Would you like to be a friend of mine?

Invisible Me

Eva and Mina

Sometimes it feels like I can’t be seen.
It’s not that people are openly mean.
It’s more that they pass me by and ignore
My pleading glances to talk some more.
Someone to know me and like me for me
To care how I’m feeling

I’m lonely but I’m not alone
My thoughts and dreams remain my own
What I wouldn’t do to share
To feel that someone else could care

I always seem to be left on the side
Looking in at everyone inside
Who all have interesting things to say
And do it so easily while they play
To be invited
To join their games – I’d be so delighted!

I’m lonely but I’m not alone
My thoughts and dreams remain my own
What I wouldn’t do to share
To feel that someone else could care

I told my mum. She hugged me tight.
She said that everything would be alright.
“Put on a smile, find something to do.
If you have fun, it will come back to you.”
I don’t hold much hope but I’ll give it a try.
I’m fed up of being lonely and shy.

I’m lonely but I’m not alone (I’m not alone)
Of course I’m scared of the unknown
But now I’m setting out to share
And find that person who will care.
Who will care
Who will care

It's The Weekend

Mina and Eva

We came here to dance,
Let the party begin.
I've done my homework in advance,
Now I’m ready to sing.
Turn up the bass, clap your hands,
Now gimme a grin,
There ain’t no school bell in here,
And that means only one thing.

No teachers, no lessons,
And nobody’s stressin’,
Because the week is in the bag,
Now it’s time for some messin’,
We got two whole days,
To let it all out,
So you better get here fast,
Start this party right now!

No school ‘til Monday,
Got the weekend dead ahead,
And I feel, OK!
Got my girls to my left (hey!),
My brothers to my right (ho!)
Put your hands in the air,
Gonna have a good time
O. M. G. It’s the weekend!

Everyone here,
Is feeling my flow.
We got no worries, no cares,
Got nowhere to go.
My friends are on the dancefloor,
They’re making it spin,
I got some moves/shapes of my own,
So/And I’m about to go in.

I slide to the left,
I shuffle to the right,
I shake it through the crowd,
Touch low to the side.
Now everybody jump,
This ‘ how we doing the dance,
I wanna see you all go crazy,
Let’s see your hands!

My Best Friend

Eva

I have a best friend and her name is Rose
She lives a few doors away.
We met in the very first week of school
Then together since that day.

She’s taller than me and dark, not blond,
But we laugh at the same things.
With Rose on my side I’ve always known
I can cope with whatever school brings.

I’ll look out for you
You’ll look out for me
I’ll be by your side when you need me
I’ll look out for you
You’ll look out for me
I’ll be by your side when you need me

We share all our things and at lunch swap snacks
And save seats on the bus home
And after school we can’t wait
To get straight on the phone

There was a time, a long three days
When we fell out, why I don’t know.
She sat next to Beth, I ate lunch alone
But that was a long time ago.

'Cause in you, I’ve found a friend
And we’ll be friends for life

I’ll look out for you
You’ll look out for me
I’ll be by your side when you need me
I’ll look out for you
You’ll look out for me
I’ll be by your side when you need me

“The thing about Rose is we don’t have to talk
And I don’t mind is she sees me cry.
My mum sometimes says I should branch out some more
Get new friends but I just think, Why?”

I’ll look out for you
You’ll look out for me
I’ll be by your side when you need me
I’ll look out for you
You’ll look out for me
I’ll be by your side when you need me

Put Your Arms Around Me

Mina

Turn the lights on
I'm gonna be late for school again
Wanna save this moment in time forever
Now I've found you I'm trying not to lose my head
It's not so easy why cant I stay in bed?

Please don’t tell me what you’re thinking
Coz I don’t wanna know
Every little reason, that I can think of
Why I don’t want you to go – all you gotta do is...

Put your arms around me
Come real close before you go
Lets get lost together
Want you to tell me what you know
Put your arms around me
Never really thought I’d get so near
Something supernatural
Just wanna make it clear

So you’ve got me
I’ve never felt like this before
I’m so sleepless waiting for you to call
Like a story in all the books I ever read
Its not so easy, why cant I stay in bed?

Being alone is nothing special
And it fits like a glove
You disappear at the perfect moment?
When all I need is your love – all you gotta do is...

Oh, something took a hold of me
And turned my heart into a hurricane
Somehow I am slowly hooked
On something I can't explain...

Relatives

Zac

There’s Uncle John who lives in Hull
He farts a lot, is rather dull
Just sits and reads what’s in the news
Boring us with all his views

They ask me questions they pinch my cheeks
They talk for hours, they stay for weeks
It’s my relatives

There’s Auntie Dot who lives in Spain
Once a year she comes by plane
She showers me with slobbery kisses
Usually against my wishes

They ask me questions they pinch my cheeks
They talk for hours, they stay for weeks
It’s my relatives

The person that I love to see
Is Uncle Colin from Dundee
He laughs a lot, has a loud, loud voice
He drives a rusty old Rolls Royce

They ask me questions they pinch my cheeks
They talk for hours, they stay for weeks
It’s my relatives

School

Zac

It’s Monday morning I don’t feel so well
My throat is sore I think my glands may swell
I’ll ask my mum if I can stay in bed
I don’t like maths, it starts to hurt my head, my head

I want to learn, I just prefer to play
Fun in the park, can I do that every day
I want to learn, I just prefer to play
Every day

I’m good at counting but just not the rest
I’m really trying and I do my best
And as for French, it doesn’t stick at all
I want to be outside and kick a ball, a ball

I want to learn, I just prefer to play
Fun in the park, can I do that every day
I want to learn, I just prefer to play
Every day

It’s Friday now the week is finally over
I say goodbye and climb into Mummy’s Rover
Two days at home with friends round to play
No getting up for school, Hooray!

I want to learn, I just prefer to play
Fun in the park, can I do that every day
I want to learn, I just prefer to play
Every day

Summer Holidays

Eva

I couldn’t concentrate
Dreamed the day away
I can’t believe its nearly here
Summer holidays
Don’t need my uniform
Just gonna stay in bed cause I
Can’t believe it’s here
Summer holidays

3 more sleeps!
It’s getting nearer
3 more days to go...
In 3 more sleeps I’ll be free as a bird
3 more sleeps!
It’s getting nearer
And I’ll do what I want forever

Planning things I’ll do
Playing, climbing, swimming too
I can’t believe its nearly here
Summer holidays
Weather’s warm outside
Build a den and try to hide cause
I can’t believe it’s here
The summer holidays

2 more sleeps!
It’s getting nearer
2 more days to go...
In 2 more sleeps I’ll be free as a bird
2 more sleeps!
It’s getting nearer
And I’ll do what I want forever

No more teachers, no more tests
Working hard just to do my best
I’ll stay up late and watch TV
Hang out with my friends and family

1 more sleep!
It’s getting nearer
1 more day to go...
In 1 more sleep I’ll be free as a bird
1 more sleep!
It’s getting nearer
And I’ll do what I want forever

Understand Me

Zac

You don't understand me

What can we do and do we feature in your plans?
Forget the past because our future's in your hands
Life can be quite confusing
Everywhere you turn
There's something going on
It's like we never learn

You don't know what we're made of
We can do more than you could know
If only you could stop and listen, listen, listen oh oh

You don't understand me
You don't understand me No

We might be younger
but give us time to talk
Trust is a must
But still you watch me like a Hawk
Just cos we're smaller
It's not like we're no use
You were like us one day
So what is your excuse?

You don't what we're made of
We can do more than you could know
If only you could stop and listen, listen, listen oh oh
We need to stop complaining
But it's the only way we know
To get your undivided attention oh oh oh oh

You don't understand me
You don't understand me No

What's the point in growing up
If grown-ups won't grow up?

People, people, listen
To your children, children...

What Do You Want

Mina

I give it a shot
I give everything I've got, I've got
I stay to the end but you complain
At where I've not got, not got

I'm doing my best
I'm trying so hard to pass the test
I'm taking my time, you just remind me
I'm behind the rest, a mess

And what do you want?
What do you want?
What do you want?

It doesn't feel right
Not sure that I want to fight this fight
You don't see the things that I am into
When I'm home alone at night

And what do you want?
What do you want?
What do you want?

What do you want?
Want do you want from me now, want from me this time?
What do you want?
What do you want from me now, want from me this time?

And what do you want?
What do you want?
What do you want?
